About

Hi, I'm Michelle

I'm a mum, lifelong learner, and someone who believes it’s never too late to create change. I grew up in Sydney, spent part of my twenties in London, and now call the Gold Coast home. You’ll often find me at the gym, walking on the beach, exploring nearby national parks, or meditating. I love cooking, learning about health, and exploring the power of the mind.

Seven years ago, after trekking the world’s largest cave, Son Doong, in Vietnam, I realised it’s never too late to make a change. That moment sparked a major shift. I transitioned from a successful IT career into coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), clinical hypnotherapy, and strategic psychotherapy.

Today, I feel privileged to help others create change in their own lives, freeing themselves from habits, fears, and old beliefs, and stepping into a lighter, calmer way of living.

My Approach

Weightless Mind is all about freeing the mind from patterns and habits that have held you back for far too long. My objective is to assist you in alleviating overthinking and rumination, minimising mental distractions and mind chatter, and easing emotional burdens such as worry, fear, and stress.

Together, we’ll create a calm, neutral space where new ideas and thoughts replace the old unhelpful ones. It is never too late to make a change — whether it’s weight loss, quitting an unhealthy habit, overcoming anxiety, improving sleep, managing fears and phobias, or calming an overactive nervous system. My aim is to help you get there.

And because every individual is different, we’ll work in a way that best suits you. You will learn to develop a mindset that is unstoppable.

Frequently asked questions

"How does your therapy work?"

Despite our limitations, modern research reveals that our brains are adaptable as neuroplasticity. I use a range of modalities to help make change by helping individuals create new mental habits and neural pathways. This allows clients to rewire their responses to challenges and triggers, making mindset change not only possible but sustainable.

"What type of therapy is used at Weightless Mind?"

At Weightless Mind, your therapy is designed specifically for you. I treat every client as an individual, because there is no one size fits all approach to healing. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your needs and aligned with your personal goals.

During your first session we will discuss the possibilities and to discover if there are any issues that are holding you back.

Types of modalities used:

  • Coaching
  • Clinical Hypnotherapy
  • Strategic Psychotherapy
  • NLP
  • Talk therapy
"Will I be safe during hypnosis or lose control?"

Yes, you are completely safe during hypnosis. You do not lose control; in fact, you will find you will have greater focus.

Some mistakenly associate it with loss of control, as shown in stage hypnosis. Clinical Hypnotherapy is hugely different from the stage. Despite the decades of research on its therapeutic value, the value of and uptake of clinical hypnosis was slow in Australia. While it was originally popular for helping people quit smoking or lose weight, its use has broadened considerably over time.

We are all in a state of light hypnosis during our day to day. It can happen when we are in flow doing something familiar or something we enjoy like music or dancing. It can be like being fully absorbed in a movie or a book.

"How can Clinical Hypnotherapy help?"

Clinical hypnotherapy may be applied to a range of issues, such as anxiety, emotional eating, weight loss, smoking cessation, breaking bad habits, procrastination, managing stress, childbirth (Hypno Birthing), overcoming fears like dental visits, enhancing performance, addressing sleep problems, boosting self-esteem, and more.

Many famous people have used Hypnotherapy; here is just a few:

  • David Beckham – Used hypnotherapy to manage negative thoughts and improve performance
  • Adele (Singer) – Used hypnotherapy to quit smoking
  • Albert Einstein – Used hypnosis to enhance creativity and problem-solving
  • Orlando Bloom – Used hypnotherapy for weight loss and to overcome a chocolate addiction
  • Winston Churchill – Used hypnotherapy to improve focus and manage stress
  • Julia Roberts (Award-winning actress) – Used hypnotherapy to overcome stuttering
  • Tiger Woods – Used hypnotherapy for sports performance and mental conditioning
"What is NLP?"

Neuro-linguistic programming this is a set of tools for enhancing self-awareness, improve communications, transforming limiting beliefs, goal setting, fear/phobia alleviation, and enhancing self-esteem. It helps clients understand how their mind thinks and how they behave the way they do.

"Do you do remote online sessions?"

Yes, online sessions are available. These can be just as successful as in person. The only difference is where you are sitting.

"Do you do home visit sessions?"

Yes, depending on the area and circumstances these can be arranged.

"Are the sessions confidential?"

Absolutely! Your privacy is my priority. Our discussions and communications are conducted in a professional and ethical manner.

"How many sessions will I require?"

This will depend on the individual. Most clients see results in just a few sessions. I also have long term clients that like to do weekly coaching sessions. This is discussed during the discovery call where we establish what you need help with.

"How much do sessions cost?"

Our rates for 2026:

  • Discovery Session 15 minutesNo charge
  • Initial Session 90 minutes$150
  • Subsequent Sessions 60 minutes$110
  • 4-Visit Package Over 6 weeks$400 Includes first session (90 minutes) plus 3 subsequent sessions (60 minutes each).
