Weight Loss
Weight Loss and maintenance are possible, regardless of your circumstances. If you have convinced yourself that you have zero willpower, please ask yourself what if the problem has nothing to do with your lack of discipline? What if the problem is your subconscious mind using your default beliefs around food?
I know all too well what it is like to be on the diet merry go round. I was overweight as a young adult. I struggled for years until I discovered it was more about my mindset than any diet program.
The truth is, I was an intelligent professional who had read countless books on nutrition and fitness—yet I still found myself trapped in the cycle of yo-yo dieting. I wanted to be in control, but old habits, emotional triggers, and unresolved patterns kept pulling me back into unhealthy behaviours.
What I eventually learned was that lasting change isn’t about finding the perfect diet—it’s about changing the beliefs and subconscious patterns that drive our choices.
My approach is quite different to the standard Weight Loss industry. We begin to work with your mind first; we will uncover your triggers and rewire unhelpful thought patterns. This lasting change to healthy choices will begin to feel natural rather than forced and restrictive.
If you have been part of the Diet Culture you will know how hard it is to change your deeply ingrained habits. You may have tried try various diets such as low-carb, intermittent fasting, high-protein, or meal replacement shakes. While these approaches may be effective for short-term results, their long-term sustainability is uncertain. Repeated dieting can cause binge eating, emotional eating, and create a damaged relationship with food.
Do you find yourself eating for no apparent reason, eyeing the pantry to numb an emotion? Do you struggle with an all-or-nothing mindset, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, or waiting endlessly for motivation to appear? My goal is to help you move from perfection to progress, and from guilt to acceptance and understanding.
I support you in reconnecting with your body’s natural hunger signals and quit the mindless eating of the past. Modern, highly processed foods can be addictive, and many people unknowingly use food to cope with unresolved emotional challenges. When these underlying issues are addressed, change becomes far more achievable.
Weight loss therapy and coaching services will be customised to your unique circumstances, with your specific needs thoroughly assessed and addressed. I use a combination of modalities to support you and your journey. If you suffer from yo-yo dieting or binge eating episodes we will work on recovery. Together, we’ll work through barriers such as fear of judgment, fear of failure, and self-sabotage, so you can create a healthier relationship with food and with yourself.
Smoking / Vaping / Unhealthy habits
Letting go of habits like smoking, overeating, or drinking can feel incredibly difficult. These behaviours can weave themselves into daily life, and the urges that come with them often feel impossible to control. Even if you’ve tried to quit before, and many people have, it often takes several attempts. But the freedom that comes from no longer relying on unhealthy habits is one of the most rewarding feelings you can experience.
Aversion and Reframing Hypnotherapy offers a powerful way to shift these patterns and create lasting change. By working with the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy helps reframe the thoughts, triggers, and emotional responses that keep unwanted habits in place.
Unhealthy habits like nicotine, influence our brain chemicals linked to motivation, alertness, and mood. This is one reason quitting can feel so challenging. I understand, I smoked for 15 years before quitting. Many smokers say they want to stop or have tried multiple times, and research suggests around 70% would like to quit because they understand the impact on their health.
Hypnotherapy has supported many people in reducing or quitting smoking and vaping by helping them reshape the thoughts and urges that drive the habit. When those urges lose their power, you gain the space to build a healthier, more rewarding lifestyle.
Anxiety
Anxiety is one of the biggest concerns of today. We live in a constantly changing world, and most people dislike uncertainty. However, anxiety is our primal brain doing what it is meant to do, keep us safe. We all will have bouts of anxious feelings; this is necessary to keep us safe and healthy. It is telling us we need to take action, such as the nerves in the stomach before an exam or feeling restless while waiting for health results. These are all normal emotions.
Anxiety can show up emotionally and physically, but when symptoms are overwhelming and are disrupting your life, you may need help.
- Rapid heartbeat, sweating, or shortness of breath
- Persistent racing thoughts, worry, and rumination.
- Trouble concentrating
- Unable to tend to daily work, appointments etc.
- Sleeping issues
- Avoiding situations that cause fear such as flying or social situations.
- Panic attacks
Certain lifestyle changes and techniques can help with management. CBT, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy and Exposure therapy.
Procrastination
What is holding you back? Together we will discover what is happening in your mind that holds you back from moving forward. Possible reasons, include performance anxiety or outdated beliefs. Do you find yourself with a feeling of not being good enough, capable enough, or deserving enough. Does it sound like a broken record on replay?
Procrastination often stems from fear of failure, perfectionism, and waiting for motivation. It nurtures the seeds of self-doubt and self-sabotage.
Conscious intervention means not only addressing delays but also appreciating progress and finding peace in it. Hypnosis and NLP can help to find the light, delve deeper into your potential and finding the power within.
